Meet Dr. Solis

Dr. Antonio R. Solis Jr. has spent years serving his hometown of El Paso, offering leading-edge dental care with the essential personal touch. For Dr. Solis, dentistry is more than fixing teeth and improving smiles: it’s about helping his community achieve oral and overall health and building relationships in the process.

Starting at a patient’s first visit, Dr. Solis takes time to establish open, clear communication. He asks insightful questions: about the person’s dental and overall health, their smile desires, and about their personal concerns, too. Just as important, he really listens to the person’s answers.

Using what he learns from the conversation, Dr. Solis then determines the dental and orthodontic options that address the person’s clinical and personal needs. Working closely with his patient, they talk over the different approaches and decide which fit with the person’s life. Dr. Solis is committed to providing advanced, ethical care and only recommends treatment that he’d suggest to his family!

Education and Continuing Education

Born and raised in El Paso, Dr. Solis grew up in the Lower Valley. He attended Riverside High School, El Paso Community College, and the University of Texas at El Paso. After completing his undergraduate studies, he applied to and was accepted at the prestigious University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. With his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in hand, Dr. Solis returned to his hometown.

Dr. Solis is committed to lifelong learning. Ongoing developments in technology, materials, and techniques offer exciting new treatment options. Through continuing education, Dr. Solis ensures he’s providing patients the best dental and orthodontic care.

Through studies in restoration implant dentistry at the Misch International Implant Institute and cosmetic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute, Dr. Solis stays current on changes in the field. He has also extensively studied orthodontics, including Invisalign® clear aligners.

His post-graduate coursework in orthodontics has led Dr. Solis to recommend preventive, early orthodontic treatment for his younger patients. In many cases, this eliminates the need for extensive interventional or corrective orthodontic care in teens and young adults!

Beyond the Practice

Dr. Solis is the proud father of three accomplished, beautiful daughters. He enjoys supporting their extra-curricular activities and is their team volleyball coach.
